“Play Together”: School-Based Training Programme
Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) typically face multiple learning challenges compared to their neurotypical peers, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and autism spectrum conditions. These students often struggle to keep up with conventional classroom instruction, gradually losing both academic interest and confidence. Our programme addresses these challenges through carefully designed group activities tailored to diverse learning needs.
Floor curling is an inclusive team sport, welcoming participants across all ages and abilities, from early childhood through senior years, accommodating both able-bodied and disabled participants. This non-contact sport emphasises concentration, communication, teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship.
Pre- and post-programme assessments consistently demonstrate that participants show significant improvements in concentration, communication skills, and emotional regulation through the joyful learning approach, resulting in a reduction in conflict.
